TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. The “Heritage Month” giveaway advertisement, notice, or pamphlet, received via the website, social media, or in person, merely constitutes an invitation by Car Service City for the consumer to participate in the giveaway.
2. The “Heritage Month” giveaway offer shall run from Friday 1 September 2022 to Saturday 30 September 2022.

HOW TO ENTER

3. Complete the following steps to stand a chance to win one (1) of the fantastic giveaways:

• Like all of Car Service City’s social media pages.
• Share the Car Service City “Heritage Month” giveaway post on your social media account / profile and tag two (2) friends.

4. Each share shall constitute a single entry into the “Heritage Month” giveaway.

PRIZES

5. Upon completing all the above steps to enter the “Heritage Month” giveaway, a customer stands a chance to win one (1) of the following prizes.
6. Fifteen (15) lucky entries will be randomly selected to receive one (1) Checkers voucher to the value of R1000,00 (one thousand rand).
7. Five (5) lucky entries will be randomly selected to receive one (1) authentic Springbok World Cup rugby jersey.
8. Starting from Friday 8 September 2023, three (3) winners of the Checkers vouchers will be announced each Friday, with six (6) winners being announced on the last Friday, 29 September 2023.
9. Starting from Friday 8 September 2023, one (1) winner of an authentic Springbok World Cup jersey will be announced each Friday, with two (2) winners being announced on the last Friday, 29 September 2023.
10. All winners will be announced on the Car Service City social media platforms.
11. All winners will receive a Direct Message by way of the social media platform Facebook.

GENERAL

12. The “Heritage Month” giveaway is restricted to participants who reside within the Republic of South Africa.
13. Participation in the “Heritage Month” giveaway is NOT subject to any entrance fee or administrative costs.
14. Once a winner is announced, it shall be the responsibility of the selected winner to:

• Within three (3) business days to contact, respond, and/or provide Car Service City with acknowledgement/acceptance of being selected as a winner, making use of the appropriate social media platform; and
• Ensure that Car Service City possess a valid and correct address whereby the winner will accept delivery of the prize.

15. Should an announced winner fail to contact, respond, and/or provide Car Service City with acknowledgement/acceptance of being selected as a winner within the three (3) day period as set out above, such winner will automatically forfeit the entitlement to such prize for which the winner has ben selected to receive.
16. Car Service City shall retain the right to resolve any disputes which may arise from these terms and conditions and shall be the finale arbitrator in such disputes and no correspondence shall be entered into.
17. Upon dispatch of a prize to a winner, all liability, responsibility, and benefit of the prize passes to the winner and the winner indemnifies Car Service City against any and all liability for damage to and defect of the prize.
18. The authentic Springbok World Cup jerseys are subject to the availability of sizes thereof.
19. Participants are not limited in the number of entries to the “Heritage Month” giveaway, but prizes will be limited to 1 (one) prize per participant.
20. All personal information obtained by Car Service City by virtue of the consumer’s participation in this competition is protected as set out in our privacy and security policy and processed in terms of the regulations as set out in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.
21. Any consumer who elects to participate in the “Heritage Month” giveaway by virtue of such actions, acknowledges and accepts the terms and conditions contained herein.
22. The “Heritage Month” giveaway is open to all participants who are NOT close relatives, alternatively closely connected with Car Service City or any member of the organisation.
23. Car Service City reserves the right to cancel or amend the giveaway and these terms and conditions without notice in the event any unforeseen event/s or any actual or unanticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Car Service City’s control.
24. The “Heritage Month” giveaway and these terms and conditions will be governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of South Africa.
25. The “Heritage Month” giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, the Shoprite Group, Checkers Retail Stores, South African Rugby Union, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media network. Participants are providing the required personal information to Car Service City and not to any other party.
26. Car Service City shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting the amended terms and conditions to its webpage.
27. Car Service City also reserves the right to cancel the giveaway should circumstances arise outside of its control.
